Welcome to Lebrary.com. Like many people, I ran out of excuses not to put pen to paper and write the story that was always bursting to come out. My enthusiasm got me through two manuscripts until I decided the world was ready for my talents. Having done what I thought was all the hard work, I sent off my manuscripts to a number of agents and sat back waiting for fame and fortune to engulf me, I sat back, and sat back, and sat back.

In a moment of sheer frustration I started the Linkedin group 'Aspiring Writers' thinking I might get a couple of people to join so we could all have a moan about all those unfair agents and publishers. To my amazement the group started to grow and grow and grow and my naivety about the publishing industry suddenly found solace amongst my fellow members.

A mixture of technology and the credit crunch meant that it was even harder for the many thousands of world-wide up and coming writers to get in front of agents, not alone getting their book acknowledged by a publisher. Safety first has become the norm for traditional publishing.

It occurred to me that with the exponential growth of the internet, mobile reading devices and online books, here was an opportunity for an audience of readers wanting to read excellent pieces of work from Aspiring Writers around the world at realistic prices, whilst giving the new writer the opportunity to at last empower themselves about a subject they feel so passionately about.

The many thousands of Aspiring Writers, around the world, now have a truly dedicated portal for their work, where readers will be able to rate what they read and be truly part of the many future success stories that will occur.
